Samsung has slashed the prices of the Galaxy M21 and Galaxy A50s in India.
The Galaxy M21 was launched in India in March with two memory versions - 4GB/64GB priced at INR12,999 ($170/€155) and 6GB/128GB priced at INR14,999 ($200/€180).
However, after the Goods & Services Tax (GST) hike last month, the prices of the smartphones in India went up, taking the price of Galaxy M21's 4GB/64GB variant to INR14,222 ($190/€170) and 6GB/128GB model to INR16,499 ($220/€200). But with the price cut, the 4GB RAM model is now down to INR13,199 ($175/€160) and the 6GB RAM version costs INR15,499 ($205/€185).
The Galaxy A50s, on the other hand, was launched in India last September. The base model of the A50s with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage was priced at INR22,999 ($305/€275) and the 6GB/128GB variant was priced at INR24,999 ($330/€300).
The A50s received multiple price cuts in India and after the GST hike, the prices of 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB variants went up to INR21,070 ($280/€250) and INR26,900 ($355/€320), respectively. But with the latest price cut, the 4GB RAM variant costs INR18,599 ($245/€220) and the 6GB RAM model is now down to INR20,561 ($270/€245).
The Galaxy M21 and Galaxy A50s are listed on Samsung's official India site with their new prices, but they are yet to reflect on Flipkart and Amazon.In.
Besides, you cannot purchase either of these smartphones right now from Flipkart or Amazon.In since the Indian government currently only allows sales and deliveries of essential goods in the country as a part of the lockdown to curb COVID-19 spread.
However, you'll likely be able to buy the Galaxy M21 and Galaxy A50s in India starting May 4 since the Indian government has allowed e-commerce companies to deliver non-essential items from Monday in areas marked as orange or green zones in the country.

Samsung Galaxy Cuts Prices Of M21, A50 Models In India

Samsung has reduced the price of its Galaxy M21 in India. After the price cut, the mobile phone price starts at ₹13,199 now.
The South Korean smartphone manufacturer had hiked the price of the device last month due to the increase in Goods & Services Tax (GST) on mobile phones from 12 per cent to 18 per cent, according to a Gadgets360 report.
The Galaxy M21 comes in two different variants based on memory and storage, the 4GB RAM+64 GB storage and the 6GB RAM +128 GB storage.
Before the price cut, the Galaxy M21 4+64GB variant was priced at ₹13,499, while the 6+128GB model was priced at ₹15,499. The new price of the 4+64GB variant after the price cut is ₹13,199. However, the price of the 6+128GB variant remains the same.
The Galaxy M21 comes with a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED HD+ display. The smartphone has a 6000 mAh battery.
The device is powered by the Samsung Exynos 9611 Octa-core processor. It has a triple rear camera set up with a 48MP main camera with F2.0 aperture, an 8MP Ultra Wide camera with a 123-degree field of view and a third 5MP depth camera. It has a 20MP front camera.
The smartphone also comes with Samsung’s ‘Make in India’ features.
The company has also slashed prices for its Galaxy A50. According to the latest price cut, the 4GB RAM variant of the device will cost ₹18,599 and the 6GB RAM model is now priced at ₹20,561.
The new prices Galaxy M21 and Galaxy A50s are currently reflected on Samsung India’s website and are yet to reflect on Flipkart and Amazon.In, GSMArena reported.

After the Indian government revised the GST rate, a lot of smartphone brands increased the price of their devices, including Samsung. However, Samsung has now dropped the price of two smartphones in India. The Samsung Galaxy M21 and the Galaxy A50s are now available with a cheaper price tag, which went live on Samsung's official Indian website.
Samsung Galaxy M21 Price Drop

The Samsung Galaxy M21 has received a price drop of Rs. 1,023 for the base variant. Originally, the smartphone was shipped for Rs. 14,222 for the base variant of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which can now be bought for Rs. 13,199 via the Samsung official website. There are a few other variants of the Galaxy M21, which have also received a price cut.
The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant was priced Rs. 21,070 after the GST hike but is now available for Rs. 18,599. The 6GB RAM paired with a 128GB storage variant came with a price tag of Rs. 16,499 and is now available for Rs. 15,499.
The Samsung Galaxy M21 features a 6.4-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a notch that houses the 20MP selfie camera. Other camera details include a 48MP primary shooter, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor forming a triple-camera module. The key feature of the Galaxy M21 is its massive battery of 6,000 mAh with 15W fast charging support.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Price Slashed

Apart from the Galaxy M21, the Samsung Galaxy A50s has also received a price cut, which went live on the company's official Indian website. The Galaxy A50s has a price cut of Rs. 2,471. Now, the 4GB RAM paired with 128GB storage starts from Rs. 18,599 and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage start from Rs. 20,561.
Additionally, Samsung is offering a price cut and discounts with a couple of accessories. The Level U stereo headset is available for Rs. 2,800 if bought alongside the Samsung Galaxy A50s. Interested buyers can avail up to Rs. 6,339 off with the new price drop.
The Samsung Galaxy A50s features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display, but the operating panel works at a Full HD+ resolution. The Exynos 9610 chipset powers the device and is fueled by a 4,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. A triple-camera module is placed at the back with a 48MP primary shooter, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor.
